The TFG is sending a delegation to Beledweyne located in south central Somalia, Radio Garowe reports. The delegation is being sent there after TFG and Ethiopian troops fought against al Shabaab insurgents in a city that was under their rule since late 2009.

A group of suspected Somali pirates have on Tuesday kidnapped Galmudug’s Education minister from Galkayo town, reports say. The minister, Burhan Warsame Igal, was abducted from the city by armed pirates yesterday in the afternoon, according to education ministry officials who requested not to be named.
Somali rebel group withdraws from Bulu-burte district

Fighters of al Shabaab have on Tuesday morning withdrawn from Bulu-burte district in Hiiran region as Ethiopian troops backed by Somalis were heading towards it, reports said. Al Shabaab forces, who had very strong checkpoints in Bule burte district in Hiiraan, have moved towards the South, leading to Jowhar and Bay, reports said.

A landmine bomb exploded Tuesday on a Kenyan army convoy passing on a road in Madera town near the Somalia border, wounding three civilians in the blast, some of them seriously.

Aid agencies review security at Dadaab following wave of murders

Security details at the Dadaab refugee camps in northeastern Kenya are being reviewed following the fatal shooting of two leaders of Community Peace and Security teams in less than a week, aid agencies operating in Somalia have said. Lutheran World Federation, whose peace committee chairperson was killed on Sunday night said on Monday that CPST is organised by the refugees themselves to keep the camps safe for more than 463,000 men, women and children mainly from Somalia.

Taiwan mulls armed guards on ships against pirates
