The former Speaker of parliament, Sheikh Adan Muhammad Nur, who held a press conference in Mogadishu said that many people have died as a result of the prolonged drought in the country because al Shabaab has barred aid agencies from delivering aid to the affected people, adding that if Somalis do not stand up against al Shabaab their continued existence would be in jeopardy.
