Kenyan troops step up al Shabaab operation

Kenyan troops have intensified their military operation in Somalia in the last five days. Speaking during the weekly briefing on the progress of Operation Linda Nchi, Military spokesman Colonel Cyrus Oguna said the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) had made significant inroads into al Shabaab controlled areas in the last one week and thanked local Somalis for volunteering information on the militants’ possible hideouts.

Al Shabaab repelled after attempted raid

Kenya: Respect law in Somalia military operations
