Delays hold up UN food airlift to horn of Africa

Famine threatens Somalia
Somalia has a humanitarian situation with millions threatened by starvation and thousands displaced and fleeing the country. According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees UNHCR, nearly forty thousand Somalis displaced by drought and famine have converged on Mogadishu in search of food, water and shelter.
